As well, I am in the process of re-implementing [link|http://backuppc.sourceforge.net/|Backups] again. Getting away from my combo I use now, it has just shown its achilles heal. If a process gets hung... and never terms, then another process starts later... and so on... well, a) I run out of RAM, b) The repository becomes... corrupt enough to have to do a complete restore of it, c) When the whole thing doesn't show up (through monitoring I was doing) for a week... well, I have lost a week of complete backups.

I am just lucky nothing went wrong before I noticed it.
