Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Warning.
On my use of DeepThought I had to restart the Boinc client. I eneded up with a new copy of my G5, which wasn't a real problem as I just merged it with the originial. However, I chose the wrong one to merge and ended up with the old G5 merged into the new G5, meaning it now has the new pc number. :-( Not a tragedy though.

A bigger problem is that it is "deferring communication" for ~ 14 hours for some reason and there does not seem to be a way to get it to reconsider. Restarting the G5 didn't help.

:-(

Cheers,
Scott.
New Same issue here
I get a new computer listing each time I restart the client. And merging is one-way: it always merges the old computer into the new one. All history is preserved, so you don't lose anything. (This is with the Linux client, btw, not that Mac.)
