He seems to be one of those people where you either love his stuff or hate his stuff. I saw BJM when it was out in theatres and went in without any expectations whatsoever. A friend dragged me off to it and I was blown away by it. I've been a fan of Kaufman's since. It just has this absurdest bent to it that I enjoy. I laughed throughout BJM and appreciate the uniqueness and freshness of the movie compared to most of the crap Hollywood churns out. My girlfriend also doesn't care for the movie. She questions what happens at the end of the fifteen minutes inside Malkovich. There is nothing to question. That's just what happens.
