Is it a Network Appliance if I take a D-Link wireless router to church and hang it off a spare Ethernet jack so I can surf in the next room?

Isn't it more like

a D-Link vonage router used to make VOIP calls? I love mine - I have it sitting behind my firewall, and it works really well.
