New The DNC guzzles the Dean Kool Aid
It is a cardinal principle of stupidity that if something just isn't working, do more of it. It is also a cardinal principle of the squishy left ("liberals") which the hard Left strongly encourages. Well, the Democratic National Committee has just selected Howard Dean as chariman. We all remember Howard Dean, right? He was that lunatic that said all sorts of mind-numbingly stupid things, then started screaming in Iowa. He epitomizes all that is wrong with the party...

I could go on and on about all that's wrong with this choice, but there's no point in belaboring the obvious. Either you see it, or you're in denial. Instead, I'd like to talk about what it means, from several angles...

New who. fscking. cares. what. you. think. interrogative.
New Intersting that . . .
. . . every Republican political cartoonist and commentator around has been ridiculing the selection of Dean for weeks now. If it's such a bad choice, why are the Republicans so agitated about it?

Something tells me they're concerned about something, and I'm pretty sure it isn't the health of the Democratic Party they're concerned about.

New Agreement....the lady doth protest too much.
New That's not agitation. That's unbounded glee.
You must be tone deaf.

Now, speaking for myself, it bothers me, a bit. But only because I care about the two party system.

I'm proudly unaffiliated with any political party, by the way. (The "us" in my sig refers to the progressive right, not the party apparatus.)

if you're delusional or just stupid.

Definitely a looney.

New "Progressive Right" is a positional oxymoron
but then, you already knew that....

New On Dean
during the campaign he was castigated for saying the party needs to get the vote of all the southern guys flying confederate flags. Since this contigent elected every president since Ford it shows he has the right idea. This scares the trotskycons so the attack is on. Since you applaud and fully back the current communist government you are willing to attack. Now whether Dean can get that vote out on the dems side is another story but thats for him to prove.

"Social democracy is still here in all its variants, defining our entire respectable political spectrum, from advanced victimology and feminism on the left over to neoconservatism on the right. We are now trapped, in America, inside a Menshevik fantasy, with the narrow bounds of respectable debate set for us by various brands of Marxists. It is now our task, the task of the resurgent right, of the paleo movement, to break those bonds, to finish the job, to finish off Marxism forever."

I love her dearly, far beyond any creature I've ever known, and I can prove it, for never once in almost seventy years of married life have I taken her by the throat. Mind you, it's been a near thing once or twice.
