Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Why did you post here?
Are you laboring under the assumption that any accident now is a terrorist act until proven otherwise?
New Maybe we need a new forum.
For suspected terrorist acts. When a given incident turns out to actually be a terrorist act, move the thread to this forum.

Anyway, putting the burning car here is no worse than putting Flight 587 here. I've seen a lot of burning cars upside down on the meridian in highways in the NYC area, and I always presume some nasty accident, perhaps involving liquor. It's not every day you see one on a Manhattan street, however. At least not in the better neighborhoods. It's worthy of note.

Sometimes "tolerance" is just a word for not dealing with things.
New I think coincidence has been pushed.
It may not be being reported in the media. But in several years of living in NYC I have not seen any cars in public places on fire, nor has anyone I know mentioned having seen it. Oh, occasionally cars do that. But it is hardly an everyday occurance.

This is the second taxi I know about that got a good roasting in midtown Manhattan in the last month. And when I say "roasting", I mean that the entire passenger compartment was a solid wall of flame, and flames coming off of the car made a pretty nice tower.

That pushes coincidence a bit. I strongly suspect arson. Connected with 9/11? Likely not. But I have to say that right after I saw it, I was somewhat less inclined to reason.

Cheers,
Ben
