Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Hmmm.
Well, I'm looking at the 12" iBook and PowerBook.

Same display, 12", 1024x768.
Slightly faster CPU: 1.33GHz vs. 1.2GHz
60G hd vs. 30G hd
Slightly faster RAM: DDR 333 vs. DDR266
Both have an AirPort card and Combo drive

The prices are $1400 vs. $950... seems extravagant to me. The 14" iBook with everything the same except for the RAM speed and the case is the same price. I just wondered if I was missing something.
Regards,

New Graphics hardware will be quicker in PBook too
In general, PB's have slightly higher performance components where you can find a difference. Bus speed, graphics processor, drive speed, DVD burn capability.

If its for casual use get the iBook.

New PB can run dual-display, iBook's VGA-out is mirror only.
Two out of three people wonder where the other one is.
New there is a workaround

Haven't tried it, but it supposedly adds the ability back to eMacs, iBooks and iMacs. Specifically models that can or cannot use the patch are [link|http://www.rutemoeller.com/mp/ibook/supportlist_e.html|listed here]. They have some [link|http://forum.macparts.de/|support forums] too.

New I'd forgotten that one - my iBook is too old :(
