Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Printer reset w/o reboot - on 9.x?
I seem to recall a means of simulating that reboot claimed necessary to detect printer - if it was not turned On, during boot. Kinda a 'lukewarm boot'?

Anyone know the trick?

Note also that.. sometimes.. I Can just turn it on and it will be detected; usual nondeterministic Doze behavior. It's 98-Lite and Canon BJC-1000; so far an utterly reliable $50 printer [3 years ago!] but then, I don't print a whole lot of stuff, prolly compared to most users.

(Yank the 3-color pod and use a Black 'BC-02' and refiller: pretty cheap supplies for an ink-jet, too.. So much for my unopened spare, still in closet. Sometimes ya Win.)
New Start in the Control Panel.
Go into System, find the device list and hit Refresh. That should be what you want.

Wade.

Is it enough to love
Is it enough to breathe
Somebody rip my heart out
And leave me here to bleed

Is it enough to die
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be Anything but Ordinary
Please
