We already have a way to unfreeze the mouse, just Ctrl-Alt-F2, Ctrl-Alt-F7. (I suspect that you're thinking of some other, much worse, bug.) Might not this USB Confuse-a-Cat brain fart explain ditto re a Doze box, too? ie - Logitech Trackman Wireless via USB; needs to be reinitialized, but only occasionally. I just do the reset-button dance and let Mouseware redetect the sucker. I note that the other mouse == identical functionality but wired, on PS/2 - is not bothered. I too didn't seek explanations because it's rare and the redetect works / no reboot even on Doze [fancy That!] If it's a USB relay-race - that's explanation enough por moi. moi
