New BTW. . . . .(OT)
Is there a way to programmatically change the SQL of an Access stored query? I.e., say I make a query called qrySomeSQL that says:

Select table1.var1, table2.var2 From table1 WHERE table1.var1=12345;

I want to be able to substitute anything I want for '12345' when calling it from a procedure. I tried making a recordset within the procedure, but the SQL string I use it in doesn't recognize it (i.e., "Select rstTest.var1. . .")

Ah. Use QueryDef.

Over the past few years, this would have solved numerous problems.

It would have been much more tolerable if they used wires and an action figure.
