Dan Perkins, the latest TT artist was on the zany show, Wait.. Wait Don't Tell Me! (Sat. ~ 11am here). Mentioned that Tom Tomorrow has been going on for ~50 years! and he's about the 7th proprietor.. Lotsa turmoil in '60s {well..} when the first Sparky the Penguin was killed :[ {sob}

He (Dan P) was the first to depict Bill C. as a waffle; obviously Doonesbury picked up on that one and ran with it. Then he did a Dr. Seuss parody of the Army/McCarthy er Republicans VS Sex hearings ^h^h fondlings. Someone sent that around via e-mail to everywhere.. and ol Rush the Limbaugh briefly set it to music on his Doggerel&Pony Show: til Dan apprised them of umm intellectual property n'such.

He said he was running on 3 hrs. sleep in the phone-in - but his repartee was up to it; extemporaneous quips, describing his current work as ~ Noam Chomsky meets ____ (Damn! missed that, interruption; but we can fill in everything from Ashcroft on truth serum to ? the latest morph of ballet and Bali: Ballmer-dancing.).

Just thought some folk might like to know he be a real.. well 'real' homo-sap and not the Spanish Inquisitiveness in drag. OK - Nemesis of Nascent Unctuous Dreck, perhaps..
