New Look at the bright side
At least this one isn't pushed (that's pushed as in drug pushers) into law. There will always be someone who will bitchslap Microsoft for a security breach, even if it isn't one in this puling consortium.

(Note: I do agree with notifying a vendor/author of security problems before public release.... but if that doesn't evoke prompt [hello, Microsoft?] patches, Katie bar the door.)
