These miserable swine, having nothing but illusions to live on, marshmallows for the soul in place of good meat, will now stoop to any disgusting level to prevent even those miserable morsels from vanishing into thin air. The country is being destroyed by these stupid, vicious right-wing fanatics, the spiritual brothers of the brownshirts and redstars, collectivists and authoritarians all, who would not know freedom if it bit them on the ass, who spend all their time trying to stamp, bludgeon, and eviscerate the very idea of the individual's right to his own private world. questions, help? [link|mailto:pappas@catholic.org|email pappas at catholic.org]
New Just be sure
If you use formmail.pl be sure to get a recent one and watch the security. Formmail.pl is well known and there are hacks designed to hijack the mail and use it a spring board for spam.

My last job used an old verison of formmail.pl and got hit, and they are a pretty small company. I can only assume that hackers are running spiders to find sites using formmail.pl and testing them to see if they can be hijacked.

I know php has a very simple mail package here [link|http://pear.php.net/package/Mail|Pear Archive], but I can't say I've really used it much. Skip past the online documentation and look at the example at the bottom of this [link|http://pear.php.net/manual/en/package.mail.mail.send.php|page]. Just replace the $body with $body = $_POST['name_of_textarea'] and you should be set to go.

New I'd call that poor advice
The correct advice is to be sure not to use anything that says "Matt Wright" on it. Particularly including his version of formmail.

This is well-known among competent Perl programmers. Unfortunately the message does not seem to have filtered out to the general world. :-(

Follow boxley's link. The NMS stuff really is a lot better.

To deny the indirect purchaser, who in this case is the ultimate purchaser, the right to seek relief from unlawful conduct, would essentially remove the word consumer from the Consumer Protection Act

New I didn't turn up that one.
Thanks...I was looking as much for recommendations as for tools...just in case somebody here had used one...this is a project right up Admin's former alley...designing a submission form for suppliers to send rate information back on a bid. There are companies that provide tools...this is an attempt to be cheap.
