I'm back. And I want to explain something.
Earlier this month (or last, I didn't look) I whined in a post.
It's been a difficult month. I lost an uncle who was like a father to me. I hear people who had great relationships with their fathers tell stories about what they did with their fathers, what they learned from their fathers, etc. Well, my stories of that nature involve my uncle - the one I buried this month. I haven't cried like that since 1988, the year I buried my younger, and only, sibling.
So, I've been a little off my game of late. Just wanted to thank the folks who were kind enough to tell me to hang around.
And to all those who suggested I do otherwise, piss off.
bcnu, Mikem

Sorry to hear about your uncle, Mike.
And I did notice and wonder about your absence. Welcome back!
Incidentally, I was up in your old stomping grounds going through Newton-Conover over to Claremont to check out an RV. I was talking about you to my wife as we were driving through there.

Corner house on 10 & 16 ;-)
321 south from Conover, turn left on to "10/16" around one curve and there it is.

Sad about your loss
Glad you came back.

hard to take
a loss like that. Things like that can make people react in strange ways. Take some time to get yourself back together. Whatever your might have said, we'll get over it.

Sorry to hear that.
Glad to have you back, and all, but 'tis indeed a bummer about the uncle.
I'd also like to offer a heartfelt ObAOL "piss off" to those in the proper category as well.

Thoughts, prayers, best wishes
Know what you're going through. Been there. It's not easy. Time, lots of time, will lessen the pain. Remember the good times.
And, welcome back.
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail ... but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn...that was fun!"

Welcome back
don't worry about the whining, if it helps you feel better, then it doesn't matter what others think of it.
I too have had a lot of things happen to me at once before. I can relate.
I have kept my visits to Ziwe short, so sorry I missed your previous message.
You are in my thoughts and prayers. Glad to see you back.
