I do not think that any organized religion has teachings to trick women this way, and that he did it on his own, and not part of some religion. He seems to me to be more of a con-man than a religious type, if he is religious, based on his actions, he is not closely following any known religion that I know of. Such immoral and unethical behavior would not be approved of by any known religion.
