New 95 years, based on this article
Well, the song "Happy Birthday" is probably the quintessential case.

Apparently, the melody to the song was written before 1900, was copyrighted in 1935. The heirs, it appears, get royalties until 2030.

Abandon hope, all ye who wish a copyright to expire.

New The law will get updated when the term comes near
The item from which everyone derives effectively infinite copyright is a movie by the name of Steamboat Willie with the first version of Mickey Mouse. Produced in 1924.

Every time that copyright comes up for expiry, the law is changed. (3 times so far IIRC.)

Cheers,
Ben
To deny the indirect purchaser, who in this case is the ultimate purchaser, the right to seek relief from unlawful conduct, would essentially remove the word consumer from the Consumer Protection Act
