[link|http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=17557|Inquirer]: "Gates' Place guarded by Homeland Security"

Actually, more like Gates' palace.
A "TEMPORARY SECURITY ZONE" was announced earlier this month, surrounding Bill Gates' Lake Washington home, in order to prevent "terrorism, sabotage or other subversive acts." The security zone means no one without government permission would be allowed to enter the area.

All the kafuffle was about a super-exclusive private party the billionaire threw on the 18th of July, as News.com reports. Members of the National Governors Association attended the party, as they happened to be in Seattle for their annual conference. Additionally, Gates, making Microsoft an "emerald" sponsor of the NGA meeting, wrote out a cheque for $150,000.
Can you still wonder why governments seem to like Microsoft?
