New Nope a German word
and they were right in there with those damn French :-)
~~~)-Steven----
"I want you to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country.
He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country..."
General George S. Patton
New Problem with the application of the word
"Hamberger" originated from the great popularity of finely chopped beef among sailors in the port of Hamburg, but the sailors ate it raw, not cooked. How the name got applied to cooked patties of ground beef is lost in the mists of time - but it's still a lot more understandable than how vienersnizel (a breaded veal cutlet) got applied to hot dogs.
