New But, did he put it on his resume?
[link|http://www.aaxnet.com|AAx]
New A while back someone tried that with me.
I was interviewing at a company that was owned
by a father/son team. The son was now in charge.

The father had been spending time under house
arrest, ie: wearing a transmitter bracelet.
I think the charge was mail fraud.

So when I described all the wonderful things
I programmed for my current employer, the son
asked me if I would be bringing all my code with
to the new job.

I politely refused.

When it got time to negotiate my salary, I offered
to take a moderate straight number but I wanted a piece
of the savings that I produced compared to current
costs. Of course, I would need to have an accountant
audit their books to ensure a fair number.

They didn't go for it, so I didn't take the job.

Worst case, tell your boss it's a new kind of ultra-XML -- not quite invisible, but only very sophisticated and intelligent people can see it...
