Thank you.
To everyone who has kept this board alive. I know I've pissed off people, maybe even made some of them leave - I hope not. I still remember the old InfoWorld days when I made my first post. Little did I know then that many years later I would still be exchanging views with some of the same people.
An odd thing happened about a year ago when finances got bad and I posted that I might have to sell my airplane. Addison contacted me. I've missed his posts and if he reads this, please come back. He and I differed, but I miss his posts.
I know some/most of you have been to Beep's bash (which is another story entirely) and have met the people behind these posts, but for me, you are all virtual people. In general, I believe that computer technology has been a net negative on society, but this board, ..., this board makes me think that there may be some value in all these bits flying through air, copper wire and silicon.
Okay, that's enough sappy-shit.

Thanks. I'll do my best, but, ...
I have like 50 people coming here on the 4th. If the weather's good, I can fly to Philly (TFR's permitting) on the 2nd and then - GOD how will I do this? - not drink on the third and return 7/3 at night. :-)

I myself drank very lightly last year so as to be able to transport others.
Theres a small strip 10 minutes from the house.

That's a dangerous proposition.
My airplane's VFR only and w/a VFR only airplane you are absolutely bound by the weather. There's an old saying among VFR only pilots like me: "Time to spare, go by air." It, unfortunately, is not too far from truth. <sigh>
