New Re: Not really hard
Not sure where bestiality is produced, but it doesn't really matter...you're right about the rest of the world's perception. I was thinking about folks in the US though--it is hard to refer people to that site, at least for me.
FAQ! We're scrod!
New Well, what I was trying to say was
perhaps that difficulty needs to be overcome by jus' plain folks. While I don't feel any urge to visit or view bestiality sites, one of the things that's great about the US is bestiality sites... or more specifically that the people making those sites aren't just automatically killed.

That said, this is largely driven by what I guess part I find problematic about a lot of the "reaction" to Abu Ghraib. It's a patently false "horrors, how could this be going on?". The true facts are that the United States has been involved in torturing inconvenient people for the better part of fifty years, and most people who have any kind of eyes and a brain know this... except, it seems, for US citizens themselves. Not only that, there seems to be a lot of "we must look away, this isn't us, and we have to prove that it's a 'few bad apples' instead of 'state policy since at least the fifties'" among people in the US. I think they need to take a look around them, wake up and smell the coffee as it were.

The US tortures people, and when it's helpful to a US firm to have some banana republic torture labour unionists or people agitating for some work place standards (or some other inconvenient class of people... gum harvesters, natives living on top of natural resources, that sort of thing), the US has often lended a helping hand by showing said republic how to do a better job of it. There are also people who are into sex with horses in the US. Get used to it.

..we have four battleships full of Velveeta, which we'll repackage any way the customer wants.
New Good points.
I also am happy about the fact that bestiality sites are allowed to exist. And I guess somebody who has the stomach to see the content on that site should also be able to handle the ads.

And the US has tortured people for years...there's different ways of doing that of course. This was a _really_ bad time and place for it though.
