Sound familiar?
Frank's handlers can't let their guy have unscripted encounters with the press. He is not, to put it kindly, the sharpest pencil in the box. And debates with the Democratic candidate, Fran Ulmer? Forget it. She'd clean his clock. Witness the "New Republican\ufffd". The Cardboard Cutout Politician. (But then, what did you expect...?

err the polish mafia has been in politics in Alaska since
forever. Senator soon to be governor murkowski is a banker who used to fund the loans to Louisiana Pacific Lumber out of Ketchikan till Clinton killed all the lumber Jobs in Alaska. He is a nice guy, but not on a par with Bob Hickel (Bankerwise). He does understand finance very well and is not charismatic but he is a detail kinda guy. Dont like him as much as Ted or my most fav AK pol Don Young who is like myself, married to a Native and is somewhere to the right of Genhis Kahn. A choice between him and Fran Ulmer? Rather see the dem in the govs office with the squirrels from Matsu on the repo side. If the dems take the house, repo gov for sure. Gotta keep that balance thing going. thanx, bill

Leaning towards
a benevolent despot. The general folks weren't trained up well enough with operating lie detectors - hell, they can't even resist bein suckered into buyin vanity cars (after all these years) - so how are they gonna resist the smarmy Pols and their promises of "makin the medicine go down with my sugar" ?
Any contenders?

Nope an Alaskan thing
There is a lot of Murkowskis and they intermarried with the Sturgelewskis one was banking and lumber, the other mining. True Pioneering families that due to hard work and clannishness made a good living out of the great land. thanx, bill

Screeeech, wham! Whoosh
Sound of feeble attempt at a "pun" or "play on words" crashing and burning. I was making a joke that depended entirely too much on the lower case "p". Gah, sorry, I'll try to do better in future.
