Jeeze mate, this is an Aussie dream come true. Hansome bloody prince from europe visits Sydney during the olympics - goes for a traditional Aussie piss-up at a local pub, meets this slick chick up in Sydney from Tassie (Tasmania - the Apple island), He decides to take a bite of this apple, drags her off back to europe for some fun & next thing he marries her.

Bloody bewdy - now Danish beer is twice as popular as it was before !!!

WHAT began as a chance encounter in a Sydney bar four years ago culminated last night in a fairytale wedding halfway around the world.

More than a million Danes lined the streets as the bridal party of Mary Donaldson and Crown Prince Frederik made its way to Our Lady's Cathedral.

Millions more around the world tuned in to live television coverage as the two exchanged vows in the neo-classical cathedral in the centre of Copenhagen.

He was the prince who had pined that he might never find a wife his mother, Queen Margrethe, would approve of, but had declared: "I will choose a woman I love."

She was the Tasmanian girl who had moved to Sydney to make a name for herself in real estate.

Last night, she made history as the first Australian to be in line to a reigning throne. She is now, also, officially a Dane.

All weekend, I believe, you can get free beer at the Slip just by showing your Danish passport (If you have one, of course...) . Two out of three people wonder where the other one is.
