New Really impress me, if they are also ECC. :)

Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction. -- Blaise Pascal (1623-1662)
New Nope, not CAS-2 either
You'll have to pay more for long warranty / brand name / CAS-2 / ECC / Registered / DDR / Rambus.

Some of the DIMMs have no visible name on the chips. Another one says "NTC" and "Made in Singapore", so I suspect it was made by Chartered (the big Singapore foundry with no work (like 20% utilization right now IIRC)). You have to have a good fab to make modern DRAM's, so they aren't being made in China, Malaysia, etc.

Heck, even brand name (e.g. Micron) memory is cheap, just not that cheap. But as long as it works fine I'm OK -- if I was building a superfast system, I'd wait and get an Athlon XP and use DDR memory.
