Give a man a match, he'll be warm for a minute.
Set him on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life!
New What an apt name.
'Tis something you yell just before jumping off a cliff.

New Wasn't going to get into this, but...
Do you have any actual complaints, or are you just going to keep sniping at Java without backing anything up?

Yes, Java has its problems, but I have a real issue with people who gripe out of ignorance.

New To me "J2EE" is a bigger alarm bell than "Java"
Not that I really care about either. Know why you picked it, and have it be a rationale that makes sense, then get on with your life. I know why I haven't picked it, and that is enough for me. My reasons aren't generally applicable.

Cheers,
Ben
To deny the indirect purchaser, who in this case is the ultimate purchaser, the right to seek relief from unlawful conduct, would essentially remove the word consumer from the Consumer Protection Act

New I'm more irritated by constant non-specific carping.
Gets under my skin.

I don't really care for J2EE that much either, but it's better than many alternatives if you use something like [link|http://www.springframework.org|Spring] to mitigate the inanities.

New From what I hear...
...J2EE is quite simply the worst enterprise-scale application server environment, apart from all the others.

New That could be a MS-Access app that ties into a big oracle DB

New True.
But Oracle's all about Java these days.

Funny, that.
