Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Hmmmm . . . a little more research . . .
. . finds that Vegemite is very similar to that quintissential British comestible Marmite - they're both yeast extracts. This reminds me of an exchange reported between my (formerly) world traveling friends Tom and Peggy and a native when they were in England.

Tom, "Yuk! this is awful"

Brit, "Well, you Americans prefer sweets for breakfast and we British prefer savories".

Peggy, "You call this slime 'savory'?"

New Vegemite is simply incomparable to Marmite
Though Peter and I may argue which product goes where on the Delicious <---> Inedible scale. :)
John. Busy lad.
New Ha! :-)

New you will have to try seal oil sometime
I like it. It is used like ketchup in the far north as a flavor enhancer. Most Qassicqs (whites) dont like it. I persueded my buddy to try a taste one time, he ruminated and said he would commit suicide before being forced to eat that again.
thanx,

New Yes, procuring seal oil is among my mid-distance goals.
I quoted here once an Eskimo lady I heard on an American Indian show who ended her dictation of a recipe, "It's delicious, but then anything cooked in seal oil would be delicious".

New You need to get your friends upgraded.
They clearly have no taste.
