On the topic of ground up cockroaches in peanut butter, boxley writes, extra protein for the pretend vegetarians.
But peanut allergies kill about 100 people a year in the USA and inconvenience many, many more. Dust from ground up insect parts is believed to be a major contributing factor to people developing peanut allergies.
The extra protein comes at a definite human cost...
