Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Yathink maybe he was talking about La Bella Italia...?
BTW, I have a vague (ObBryce: I knew it! He's vague, *vague*, VAGUE!!!) memory of having read somewhere that Mussolini didn't even do all that well at what is usually claimed to be the only advantage of fascism, "at least they made the trains go on time".

(No, this doesn't have much of anything to do with anything. Where did I say it did?)

Now, Adolf, OTOH...

New Italia it was!
I have traveled by train mostly within Italy, with occasional trips in Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and England -- but I guess I'm not so observant as I would wish :-(

As far as Mussolini is concerned, I never heard any of my older relatives say he made the trains run on time -- maybe that was a UK saying?

New Naah; probably a German saying, about Adolf's bunch
