Welcome to IWETHEY!

New And now for something completely different. . . . .
Anybody know how to import a Microsoft Works .wdb database file into anything else? I.e., without actually having Microsoft Works around to use it to Export.
New What's the destination for the data?
Or, what format do you need?

For example [link|http://www.ability.com/support/works2ab98.php?ln=us|Ability] imports .wdb files. It say free trial [link|http://www.ability.com/sales/products/database.php?ln=us|here]. Perhaps it's functional enough to get what you want.

I don't know a thing about Ability! :)

New Re: What's the destination for the data?
Dang, it says you can't import them directly.
New You're screwed, AFAIK.
Best you can do is go buy a copy of Works and export the data in CSV.

New Ya.
EVERYTHING says "You can't import directly from Works. You must save it from Works as a known file type, and then. . . .". Although I did find some utilities that would supposedly import the word processor files directly.

Happily, I have a mole inside Micro$oft who did the dirty deed for me.

You'd think a company would make it so that their own stinkin' products recognized their own other stinkin' products. I know, it's asking a LOT. . . .
