New Gave up using the new Netgear WGR614

Works for a while then stops - looks like it only gets a short lease from the adsl (using DHCP) then runs out.

On the old SMC & the Buffalo AirStation I can adjust the time of the lease but can't find how to do that on the Netgear. Even if I choose static ip addr, then it doesn't seem to connect at all.

Well at least I have the SMC to fall back to until the Netgear mystery gets resolved.

I obtained a firmware upgrade & now the unit works all the time except with the upgrade, my older PCMCIA card no longer works (but who cares).

The unit is now the main one at home.

PS will be setting up an 802.11a wifi network at home using multiple Proxim access points (now very cheap) will write about result once done (about 3-4 more weeks away - am moving house in 2 weeks)
