Just days after Billy Goat owner Sam Sianis sued Florida-based Cheeburger Cheeburger Restaurants for trademark infringements, the case was settled.

Under the agreement filed in federal court Friday, Cheeburger Cheeburger Restaurants agreed not to open any new restaurants within 125 miles of Chicago.

At the same time, the Billy Goat -- which has seven tavern/restaurants in the Chicago area -- is free to open restaurants anywhere in the country. Although Cheeburger Cheeburger has the official trademark for its name, in the Chicago area the Billy Goat will be able to officially trademark its slogan made famous in a "Saturday Night Live" skit, "Cheezborger, Cheezborger.''
