New Swedish Judge favors Microsoft
[link|http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=13149|http://www.theinquir...et/?article=13149]

Entire piece:
A JUDGE in Sweden ruled yesterday that Lindows must stop distributing its OS in the country, because, she said, it infringes the Windows trademark.

The injunction, sought by Microsoft, means that the firm can't sell products marked Lindows, or face a penalty of three million Swedish crowns.

Microsoft, according to the ruling, had reason for the injunction to be issued to prevent Lindows infringing its Windows trademark.

But this isn't the end of the story \ufffd an injunction is usually a prelude to further time in court. Whether Michael Robertson, Lindows' CEO ultimately wins or not isn't the point.

These days IT firms often use the courts as marketing tools to tie up competitors.

The next step is for Lindows to argue in court against the injunction.

New What's to laugh?
Actually it's "fönster" (which would logically be transcribed into your impoverished alphabet as "foenster", with only one 'oe'); but I don't see what's to laugh about either way... Care to explain?
