The "real" 6 Million Dollar Man.
Almost stuck this in "Science"
Ran across a few links... if you've never seen the opening of the "6 Million Dollar Man", I dunno what rock you've been under. (Or what NYC you're living in, before you say anything, Ben).
[link|http://www.dfrc.nasa.gov/PAO/PAIS/HTML/bd-dfrc-p012.html|NASA Bio of Bruce Peterson]. (Doesn't mention his "15 minutes" of fame)
May 8, the NB-52B had launched [link|http://www.dfrc.nasa.gov/PAO/PAIS/HTML/bd-dfrc-p012.html|Bruce Peterson] at the controls of the sixteenth glide flight of the M2-F2. Roll instability and a rescue helicopter in Peterson's flight path caused him to land before the landing gear had fully extended, resulting in a spectacular rolling, flipping crash. Bruce Peterson was badly injured in the accident, film of which was used in the opening sequence of "The Six Million Dollar Man" television series.

From that page:
the Northrup B-2 Bomber What is it with this mysterious company, that half the time it's spelled Northr Up, half Northr Op??? I always thought the latter was the correct spelling -- which would mean that not even the NASA's "official"(?) biography-writers can get it right. Majorly weirdski.

Don't be silly.
Its a security test, so when we find information elsewhere, we can deduce where it came from, of course...

Funny...
That's not how they spell it on [link|http://www.northgrum.com/|[link|http://www.northgrum.com/|http://www.northgrum.com/]].
But then, you guyses variant really is incredibly frequent for a misspelling: A Google search for "Northrup Grumman" returned about 5,000 hits; "Northrop Grumman", about 60,500. Almost one in twelve; that must be exceptional.
