Welcome to IWETHEY!

New CIO adamantly opposed.
His "vision" is that OS/400 and RPG can solve all the world's problems.
bcnu,
Mikem

Java, Junk. Both start with a "J", both have four letters. Coincidence? I think not.
New Well, you need to add Rexx for string processing...

Imric's Tips for Living
  • Paranoia Is a Survival Trait
  • Pessimists are never disappointed - but sometimes, if they are very lucky, they can be pleasantly surprised...
  • Even though everyone is out to get you, it doesn't matter unless you let them win.

Nothing is as simple as it seems in the beginning,
As hopeless as it seems in the middle,
Or as finished as it seems in the end.

New Hey, if you guys need someone to do rexx
I'm not bad, if I say so myself.

New It's funny...
Most AS/400 pros I've met don't know what Rexx is, more or less that it's on thier machine.

Damned shame, really.

New Yeah, it's a good language

New Don't think so...
I think it's Rexx/400 or nothing...

Hmm.

[link|http://www-3.ibm.com/software/awdtools/obj-rexx/orx_sys.html|Nope]. It's not on the list of supported platforms...

:-(

red-headed bastard child of IBM.

New OS/400 Security is probably on a lower level
..than specific clients. So telnet is probably just as secure - ssl and all that. There would have to be a reason SSH client wasn't immediately available - could be because that in itself implements a non-standard security policy?
