and I don't have time for it. I only subscribed to the list to get info when the board went down. Since the board hasn't died in awhile there's no good reason to stay on the list other than inertia. Since yesterday's madness - there's now a good reason to get *off* the list.

The (infr)action was maybe 3-5 emails. The reaction was over 140 (25% of yesterdays download was basically fallout from that).

As for the spam angle, the list address is in unobfuscated clear text on the [link|http://labrador.vtluug.org/mailman/listinfo/iwe|subscribe page]. Its probably more likely to be picked up by a web crawler than submitting it as an email confirmation address.

The list member's addresses are also available in weakly obfuscated format.

Bottom line on the whole mess is that a little tolerance would go a long way.
