New GO AWAY AGAIN
-drl
New Your plaintive wheedling has moved me...
to scorn.

There's only one of me, there's at least half a dozen of you loons, and yet you feel put upon? If anyone has the right to feel put upon, it would be me, the outnumbered underdog. But I don't, because whenever one of you whines, I know I'm holding my own pretty damn well. Why, I don't even need to devote nearly the time to this board that the peanut gallery does. And it's a good thing, seeing as I have a life.

I like these odds.

I could make a career out of reducing to tears all the idiotarians here, but the pay sucks. So it will remain purely a sideline for me.
----------------------------------------------------------------
DEAL WITH IT.
Compromise is for suckers. Seeking a middle ground is what led to 9/11.
"I do not want to be admired by scumbags and liars and wife beaters. I want to be admired by good and decent, intelligent and just people, and in order to achieve this I need to do things that make me despised by their opposites." - Bill Whittle
Never mind all the mass graves. Where's the nerve gas?

New shun?
It's a sad week when we lose karsten one day and the phil-bot returns with its monotonous buzz the next. Since any responses, much less invective and abuse, are so much glucose to the thing, perhaps starvation might be the better approach.

cordially,
Die Welt ist alles, was der Fall ist.
New Agreement
The shun's the thing.
-----------------------------------------
It is much harder to be a liberal than a conservative. Why?
Because it is easier to give someone the finger than it is to give them a helping hand.
Mike Royko
New Hey, we've already got the code for that.
Hey, we're thoroughly modern people here. Code re-use!

New I had in mind more of a
rigorously-observed policy of non-response.

True, one wants to respond to some of the stratospheric imbecilities, the ludicrous misstatements...but content is immaterial to the creature; it requires only the fact of a response, even an automated response, for sustenance.

Starve it. Not so much as a one-syllable word.

cordially,

New I concur.
My previous response to its gut-wrenchingly offensive post is my last to it.

New One exception
if "it" chooses to abandon anonymity. This latter is what really peeves me - I don't care how stupid or mean-spirited "it" wants to be, as long as "it" is an identifiable person.

New That has also been my biggest issue

And am in agreement re shun - been practicing it for a while.
I had come to realise that by using bitter sarcasm, had been
more or less deflecting from the imbecility of its goals &
content.

Doug M
(PS am also offering a long overdue appology for using attack
tactics re it, that appear to have done more harm than good)

Memorably described by colleagues as someone who would "unplug you from life support so she could charge her phone."
