My dream of creating a TOPish code editor is looking less and less realistic. For one, there are no good open-source desktop TOP-ish tools with constistent, easy-to-install GUI table browsers, and many contracting sites won't allow you to install proprietary software.
Besides, Lisp may be a good back-up alternative to nimble TOP tools for quicky scripts and editor control data. One can blur the distinction between code and data to get control-table-like arrangments. Whether a list of parameters is function parameters or just data does not really matter in Lisp.
At the very worse, it can't be worse than the OO shit. Lisp tools may be one of the last places to hide from the OOnslaught.
