Sometimes "tolerance" is just a word for not dealing with things.
New Didn't mean that: in Afg. to clear some of the *millions*
of mines laid, forgotten, relaid - as constant internecine fighting has been their lot.. hell - for centuries? Russians I suspect, likely laid the most. Those fleeing across borders are apt to encounter these fields - I imagine we'll be hearing about that as matters "progress"..

New Afghanistan has ~20% of the world's mines.
"He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." - Friedrich Nietzsche
New The rumors of this are spreading ...
... especially since members of the Taliban are beating up Afghan UN mine removal workers and taking their trucks. Maybe the Taliban even "painted" the building as a target to implicate the coalition?

Either way, my heart goes out to the innocent victims. Compassionate victims at that.
     Four UN casualties - (marlowe) - (7)
