No, I'm not critiquing Fraknoi (though I find him overbearing when he's on local radio). I'm pimping [link|http://www.badastronomy.com/|Phil Plait's Bad Astronomy]. Caught his lecture on Mt. Tam a year ago, bought the book. Lots of good debunking stuff, very down to earth, but knows his stars. Note too that Plait makes the point that the hoaxters themselves are running quite the little scam thing, and make a pretty penny doing it.
