New Judge says pop-up ads can keep on popping up

Online pop-up ads do not violate trademark laws even if they cover up or appear alongside unaffiliated Web sites, including those of rivals, a federal judge has ruled.

U.S. District Judge Gerald Bruce Lee also placed some of the responsibility for those ads on computer users, saying they voluntarily agree to them, even if they do so unwittingly.

New Judge obviously uses IE, then :)
John. Busy lad.
New Putting statement back into context
He added that users ultimately agree to such ads when they accept WhenU's licensing agreement, though critics say few people bother to read such agreements when they download free software.

"Alas, we computer users must endure pop-up advertising along with her ugly brother ... spam, as a burden of using the Internet," Lee wrote.

Of course, using a better browser would eliminate the pop-ups...
New Another side effect of this ruling.
This specifically allows the end user to use the browser of their choice to view websites, as opposed to being required to use a specific browser.
In that final hour, when each breath is a struggle to take, and you are looking back over your life's accomplishments, which memories would you treasure? The empires you built, or the joy you spread to others?

Therin lies the true measure of a man.
New Judge obviously an fscking moron!
How in the fuck can you unwittingly volunteer for anything?

They are voluntarily agreeing to the licensing agreement...
New OK, but
You're right, that's what the article said. However, the idiot Judge also said that you can unwittingly agree to volunteer for something, which is an oxymoron on its face. If what he meant to say was RTFLA, then there are ways of saying that without resorting to what Ashton refers to as "language murder".
