To say that it can fire 1 million rounds per minute is a bit like saying a new type of aircraft carrier could launch 10000
aircraft ... a very very big a/c could relaunch the same aircraft many times but the way I worded it might imply
that it can hold 10000 aircraft and launch the lot.

This new gun could *never* fire 1 million rounds period - its firing rate can reach a *rate* of 1 million per second but that is because its total payload per barrel gets emptied in a fraction of a second then the barel is empty & can't be reloaded.

There *is* no easy way to reload the gun. In effect the 'barrels' come preloaded with a full compliment of bullets - are strung together & these are fired by a hot wire down each barrel such that the top bullet gets ignited 1st followed by the next a fraction of a second later etc: a bit like stuffing 20 rockets in a long tube & firing them in a very fast flash down the launcher.

But as always the bloody press like to hype anything new & different & hence the claim that the gun can fire 1 million rounds per second which is absolute bullshit.
