The truth is I will be coming home listening to fighting between my two girls unless it turns out to be a tie. But, my youngest is on Cloud 9. You all know what the motives are of a pension fund. While I'll give the organization some credit in adding some players to try and win the Cup, I don't think it'll ever reach the committment to winning that the Avs or Wings do until the Teachers are no longer there. It's a damn shame the Leafs couldn't be owned by Mr. Billionaire Melnyk instead of the Sens. What this town needs is a deep pocketed owner who doesn't need to make a profit off the team. lister

The issue is not "making a profit" vs. "losing money", it's "making more profit" vs. "making less profit", ESPECIALLY when you're talking about the Leafs. It's not like the situation that (for example) the Flames face, where it's a constant balancing act to avoid losing money on any given season. An institution like the Teachers will always choose "making more profit" while they can get away with it. It's up to the fans to make it clear to them that they can't.
