Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Hmm. Reproducible here.
In your post, I see concat not Open. Is that what you see?

"So when I open the reader, do File -> Open {or click on the folder icon} and then select the Details view (the drop down list in the last icon on the top right) then click on the Modified column heading twice to sort the files by modified date."

If the { is replaced with (, then "Open {" becomes "concat(". It seems to have something to do with the word open and the opening parenthesis.

I'm running Win2k + SP4, all recent MS updates, Mozilla 1.3 Gecko/20030312. Closing Mozilla didn't change the behavior, nor did rebooting.

Oh well.

Cheers,
Scott.
New No, I see "Open"
What are your user preferences?

"Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson..."
New Fairly standard, I think.
On the posting page for that post I turned off everything except "Convert Newlines to BR Tags". But it didn't matter to the behavior.

In my Prefernces I have everything checked through "Show Forums with New Posts Only". The next 2 (Invert... and Nadsat) are not checked.

For completeness:
Indents are spaces, Heirarchy is after the post body, Georgia font, Split Links, Image Inline, EDT, 10 threads per page, Forum Control Links on top.

Thanks for checking into this.

Cheers,
Scott.
New Turn off your proxy.
Privoxy changes Open( to PrivoxyWindowOpen(... perhaps you have the same thing going on.

New Good catch! Sorry I didn't mention Privoxy earlier.
I thought it was something on my end. :-/

Adding ".iwethey.org" to Mozilla's "No proxy for" list in Edit-> Preferences->Advanced->Proxies fixed it.

Thanks!

Cheers,
Scott.
New Excellent.

Worst case, tell your boss it's a new kind of ultra-XML -- not quite invisible, but only very sophisticated and intelligent people can see it...
