New Web development recommendations
I'm going to recommend a new web site for our church that would include the following:

- blogs
- discussion boards
- chat
- music and video content
- live streaming of video
- calendars
- the ability for non-developer's to easily update content

What would be the best tools to get this up quickly and inexpensively (i.e. open source if possible)?

Thanks,
John
New Have a look at WebGUI
[link|http://www.plainblack.com/webgui|http://www.plainblack.com/webgui]

Has most of what you're looking for, and could be a good base to build on. The best part about is the ability for the non-technical to add, update, and manage content.

New TenFootPole.touch(johnu)
That is not a question I'd like to give any advice on without payment. :)

But for fun, what are your management requirements? Are you going to do all this yourself? Is there someone in-house? Techie or non?

I'm gonna go build my own theme park! With Blackjack! And hookers! In fact, forget the park!
New Zope is worth a look.
