Not that it's all that useful over a dial-up link but hey, at least it's working. Could well be related to all the changes they're doing for OS 10.1. (Which I'll be ordering shortly) John. Post #10,953 by tjsinclair 9/29/01 11:35:28 PM Reply	Could be... The iDisk has been changed to use WebDAV. So in actual fact, you can connect to your iDisk from any platform that has a WebDAV client. Not only that, but now it's 'firewall-friendly'. I just got the 10.1 upgrade CD (I'm ordering the whole kit, but couldn't wait) from CompUSA where the rep was burning copies and handing them out. (Just the 10.1 upgrade, mind you.) My G4 ran pretty well under X before but now it's 'like butta', as they say. And DVD playback is smooth as silk. Butter-coated silk, even. Even my Wall Street is experiencing a little more peppiness. The only downside is that my open source Wavelan driver doesn't work any more. (It was ported from the Linux version.) However, word on the street is that we should have a fix by Monday at the latest. Tom Sinclair Speaker-to-Suits

Am happy to say I found my iBook receipt yesterday so sending off for 10.1 won't be a problem. At last, I'll get my hands on a Developer Tools cd - which didn't come with the iBook. Yay, and stuff.
