You could do that
but then it may not work with IE. I used to use display=none to hide things, and IE 4 or 5 still displayed it despite that setting. Of course I hadn't tested it out with IE 6, maybe they fixed it?
I wrote ASP pages that had web forms, and I wanted to take out part of the form, but keep it in there to be added back later, so I tried the display = none and it didn't work, setting the height and width to 0 pixels apparently worked.
