Temporary only, I'm afraid.
I have a project-contract with the Department of Fair Trading. The Licensing and Registration database is made available to about 9 large clients via a private network. The Systems Manager wanted someone to duplicate the existing firewall on the DFT side. Me.
The firewall as setup about two years ago is running RedHat 5.2 with the TIS Firewall Toolkit. I'm replacing it with a RedHat 7.2 install with some configured with IP Tables. It's been great fun.
So far, I've worked approximately 4 days in two weeks with about 3-4 days' more work. But they've been very impressed with my knowledge and skillset so I think they're trying to see if they can make further use of me somehow.
