Thank you for remaining among the non-idiots. BTW OpenOffice is not bad, from a cursory first inspection. It handles Word 97 documents pretty well. A major drawback for me is that the vaunted Linux still mostly has extremely shitty applications, in particular, the equation editors are horrible (I utterly refuse to deal with something as insane as TeX). -drl
