New Powerline Networking?
My father has this setup where instead of using ethernet cables attached to a hub, he uses his electrical outlets as his network connection. Can this work with OS/2? Is it a hardware-only thing (so that the computer thinks it's connecting to a standard ethernet hub) or does it require special software as well? Does anyone have any experience with this?

New bridge?
there are ethernet to powerline bridges. [link|http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?prid=416&scid=33|Here's one] from Linksys. For these the only driver that would matter is the ethernet NIC.
