Imric's Tips for Living
  • Paranoia Is a Survival Trait

New Re: ViewTouch Speaks
I was doing a search on Google for ViewTouch, as I do every month or so, to see what kinds of conversations might be invoking the company name and I came up with you guys. I don't use ViewTouch as a login name anymore - I use Reporter or Loose Cannon these days. Anyway, it's good to see some of you guys around from the InfoWorld Forums era.

The POS (point of sale, not piece of shit) business is ever more vibrant with every passing year. That software that I wrote almost 20 years ago sure has changed the world. Virtually every restaurant in the world is now either using a derivative of it or soon will be. Millions upon millions of people. I have to say I'm pleased. I only wish I had a dime for every person who uses it every day. Or at least a dime's worth of recognition for what I did (am doing). Oh well, I can't complain. I am doing well enough.

Perhaps I'll bookmark & drop in. Thanks for speaking well of me, you guys. And do visit the web site sometime.
New Gene.... Good to see you still live..
Now, iff we can only get you back here regularly!

Welcome back!

New Welcome to your home away from home
I remember speaking with you a bunch of years ago about some restaurant POS for a hotel. Turned out they were getting a package deal from elsewhere. I am glad you are doing well.

Which you should be feeding with rumour and generalisation.

I liked Dragon Ball Z better; it didn't try as hard to be idiotic.
